東進西出：東京 橫濱 京阪神
在結束澳洲打工度假的第一年後，本打算趁著回台灣休息的空檔以JR PASS環日，但計畫趕不上變化，有位來台灣玩的法國友人L先生加入此行，便將我的獨旅改為12天的東進西出觀光客之旅。雖然部份景點對我而言是複習，但此行的重頭戲—京都時代祭與鞍馬火祭仍讓我很期待；也因為這趟帶了個朋友去我還是做了些功課，以下紀錄給大家參考。
East→West: Tokyo, Yokohama, Keihanshin.
I went back to Taiwan for holiday after I finished my first working holiday visa in Australia, one of my French friend Monsieur L also travelled to Taiwan, and he wants to see Japan which he has never been before, I have been there twice but never seen the autumn colour; so I made a tourist plan for showing him the famous sightseeings, and also for the famous festivals in Kyoto.

其實我知道Airbnb已經一陣子了，直到這次L先生的台日旅才真正使用它；Airbnb的初衷是屋主把家裡多餘的空間出租（你不一定會睡在房子裡，也有可能是拖車或船上），而客主又有點像交朋友的感覺（想當然爾，也有許多民宿或商旅在上頭刊登營利）。
完成訂房後收到幾封來自Sam的確認信，提供他家的位置以及把鑰匙藏在哪裡；當初以為有地圖跟地址應該可以輕鬆找到地方，殊不知我們到了該轉彎的地方沒轉，而那區剛好又是山丘，道路房子都建的好迂迴，害我們背著行李繞了一大圈冤枉路⋯⋯總算趕在天黑之際（還有L先生耐心燒完之前），找到這間隱身住宅區的民房（整個社區長得一模模一樣樣嘛）。
其實Sam的房子就像我們澳洲住的Share House，兩層樓的平房含三房一廳一衛（乾濕分離），屋況雖老但還算整潔；其中一個房租給在日本唸書的國際生，其餘兩房則透過Airbnb出租。屋主Sam是在日本長住的紐西蘭人，與我們僅透過電話與e-mail聯繫，沒機會看到他本尊不過態度挺親切的。第一天是繞了路，其實從青葉台車站出發（走對路的話）約15分鐘可抵達，而且社區出去的巷口就有百元商店和超市，伙食不成問題。
東京 Tokyo - Khaosan Tokyo Ninja

前一次一個人到京都旅遊時，住的就是Khaosan在京都四條Kyoto分店，當時對那裡整潔的環境與友善的小幫手們留下了相當好的印象，決定以後來日本都要投宿他們旗下的Hostel！目前Khaosan在東京有五間Hostel，各有不同的房型與裝潢風格，在考量的房價與地點後我們選了Ninja，入住 十人男混合套房(Basic 10 Bed Mixed Dorm Ensuite)。
特別訂製的上下舖一床共有三層，每個床位附有閱讀燈及拉簾，可保有個人隱私空間；頂層跟下層個睡一人，中間小夾層可放置行李。房內設有獨立衛浴與鎖櫃，房間空間不大但也不致擁擠，反正對我們而言只是回去睡覺；不過這間房位於櫃檯旁，房客進出時外頭的聲音會傳進來。
Ninja位於地下一樓的公共空間，設有簡易廚房並提供免費茶水咖啡等，另有沙發電視與洗手間；一樓的櫃檯前也有公共電腦，行李可寄放在一樓與地下室間的樓梯口。整體而言Khaosan Tokyo Ninja維持了我對Khaosan Kyoto的高評價，L先生也給予肯定。
關西地區 West Japan
京都Kyoto - 小世界旅社 Small World Guest House

在agoda上發現它的時候，能夠平價入住京都町家這點就讓我眼睛為之一亮（礙於時代祭選擇其實也不多）；在確認L先生可以接受在榻榻米上睡個幾晚後，便立馬定了雙人和室（JPY$4,000）。位於京都市北區，適合想多點時間漫步在北山廟宇的人；除了堀川通上有許多巴士外，最近的地鐵站是烏丸線的北大路站，走路大概10到15分鐘。
不料，迷路的戲碼又再次上演⋯⋯在我們抵達堀川通後依照來信的指示、看到什麼就往哪邊轉，但繞到巷子裡時怎麼看都沒看到，加上沒網路GPS定位又不準，即使拿著英日文地址來對門牌也對不出個所以然。所幸有個媽媽看到我們一臉迷惑前來關心，還把娃娃車留在路邊熱心的幫我們指路（我當然也有幫忙顧小孩啦），終於讓我們得以放下行囊休息。
可以入住町家真是讓我興奮極了，光看著這紙拉門、榻榻米、中庭和沿廊就讓我感到時光倒流；但老房子的缺點倒一個也不少，不通風灰塵多、隔音差與不是很暖等，如果遇到尊重人的吵鬧房客真的會抓狂（拉門本身就很吵了）。這裡蹲、西式廁所與嵌入在舊房舍的淋浴間，熱水部分沒什麼問題，一離開膠囊般淋浴間就超冷（因為是開放式的風會灌進來）；還有，對於人高馬大的歪國人會有撞頭的危險。如果你也是老房控來住幾晚體驗是不錯的，價格也還算公道。
When I found the Small World Guest House on agodda, it immediately caught me eyes, cause I always dream to stay in ‘Kyo-Machiya’ the Kyoto style old house; after made sure that Monsieur L feels ok to sleep on Tatami for couple nights, I booked the Japanese Style room(JPY$4,000) for us straight away. Small World Guest House is located at north Kyoto, suits for someone want to spend more time in the quiet area with lot of temples; there are several buses running on Horikawa Dori, you can also walk 15 minutes to the Kita Oji Station on Karasuma Line.
Again, we got lost in the alleys… We tried to look at the google map and the map from Small World Guest House website, but without the internet and GPS can’t find out which lane or alley we were; fortunately a lady came for help so we could find the place and released the backpacks on us.
I love the Kyo-Machiya, the traditional doors, terrace and garden made me felt like travel back in time, still can’t avoid the problem of a old building: soundproof, no window(only the paper door) and no fresh air come though, dusty, and maybe the ceiling is bit low for a Westerner. But here do have a modern shower and toilet. If you are old house addict like me, try to stay couple nights won’t be a bad idea.
大阪Osaka - 東洋旅社 Hotel Toyo

位於大阪天王寺附近的東洋旅社，距動物園前站(Dōbutsuen-mae Station)走路不到五分鐘，有御堂筋線和堺筋線可搭乘，或再走一小段路到新今宮站可轉乘更多線。所有的房型皆為和室，房間裡什麼都沒有只有榻榻米（單人房約三帖榻榻米的大小），每層樓皆有公用衛浴。只住一晚沒有使用公共空間，隔音有點差；不過考慮到單人房與交通方便等優點，仍是個經濟實惠的選擇。
Hotel Toyo located at Osaka Tennoji, less than 5 minutes walking from Dōbutsuen-mae Station, you can take both Midosuji Line and Sakaisuji Line there, or walk a bit further to Shin-Imamiya Station for more subway lines. All the rooms in Hotel Toyo are Japanese style, with shared showers and toilets on every floor; no furniture but Tatami and your beddings in the room. It was clean and great location, the soundproof wasn't perfect but still a economic choice with a own room.
